Responsibilities as an officer

As a geotechnical officer, you will work on developing geotechnical investigation programs and reports, based on both new field data and previous studies. You contribute to sustainable and safe construction projects by analyzing ground conditions and providing the basis for decisions in construction and infrastructure investments.

Your responsibilities include:

Conducting desktop studies and preparing field reports
Analyzing soil and foundation conditions through investigation data
Writing technical reports (RNA) and eventually providing recommendations
Creating geotechnical drawings
Working on several small projects simultaneously with support from more senior colleagues
Contacting clients, often via phone, to gather information
Accompanying field visits to understand the overall picture and learn about site conditions

In the role of Geotechnical Officer, we are looking for someone who has:

A university degree in civil engineering, geology, or equivalent
Fluency in Swedish and good knowledge of English
A valid driver's license – you will occasionally need to travel for site visits

It is advantageous if you have:

A master's degree in a relevant field
Experience in calculations from studies or previous work
Completed a thesis or otherwise been in contact with geotechnics

Business-minded and communicative – you are not afraid to contact clients
Unpretentious and willing to share knowledge with others in the team
